Highlights from WordCamp Masaka 2025
WordCamp Masaka 2025, held from July 18–19 at Equator University of Science and Technology, wrapped up with a strong sense of community, innovation, and shared purpose. The second edition of this dynamic gathering brought together 291 attendees under the theme “Connecting Communities, Inspiring Ideas.” While we were just shy of our 300-participant target, the energy and engagement made the event a resounding success.

WordPress Test Team Launches Contributor Group to Improve Core Quality
In an effort to raise the overall quality of WordPress Core contributions and address long-standing challenges in the contributor workflow, the Test team has officially introduced a new initiative, the Test Contributors Group. The initiative is based on two feedback sessions held on July 4 and July 18, where current members of the Test Team highlighted several critical areas for improvement. The prominent ones being communication gaps, unclear contribution efforts, and a noticeable decline in committer activity.
